Following the completed merger of HDI and Gerling, the subsidiaries of Talanx AG, HDI-Gerling Lebensversicherung, HDI-Gerling Sachversicherung and AmpegaGerling, with a total of around 2900 employees, are moving together from the campus of the former Gerling Group to the new Rheinpark office building in Cologne Deutz. The rental space there amounts to approx. 75,000 m² GFA.
Behind the historic brick facade of the former exhibition hall, ultra-modern office space with contemporary utilization concepts was created. Around 30% of the space was to be used as open space, the rest as cell structures of various sizes. Due to the size and the structure of the building, the main focus was on orientation in the building and identification with the space. We developed a guidance system based on color coding to simplify orientation and transferred these colors as furniture accents to the different areas.
