Following the completed merger of HDI and Gerling, the Talanx AG subsidiaries HDI-Gerling Lebensversicherung, HDI-Gerling Sachversicherung and AmpegaGerling, together with a total of approximately 2,900 employees, are moving from the campus of the former Gerling Group to the new Rheinpark office building in Cologne Deutz. The leasable area there is approximately 75,000 m² GFA.
Behind the historic brick facade of the former exhibition hall, ultra-modern office spaces with contemporary usage concepts were created. Around 30% of the areas were to be used as open space, the rest as cell structures of various sizes. Due to the size and structure of the building, the main focus was on orientation within the building and identification with the area. We developed a guidance system based on color coding to simplify orientation and transferred these colors as furniture accents into the various areas.
